Memo Kattis is an artist in Greece, exploring themes of mysticism, displacement, exploration, and metaphysical reality. His work appears in collections internationally, and gravitates towards constructing visual colour field compositions that play with a dance of warm and cool hues, which, comfortably psychedelic, convey an impressionistic and expressionistic lens that defies categorisation. Equipt with a postmodern sensibility that pays homage and hubris to the notions and rules of classical painting, Kattis' work questions style and form by abiding and reinventing building blocks of disparate cultural traditions.
